You arrive on the landing platform.
Soaralie is a large glass-domed floating city. the main city that towers above you, with a cresent of farmland and grassy hills encircling it. The people here seem friendly, but live so far away from the land below... its strange to think anyone would be comfortable being up so high...
The city can provide everything you need: A warm meal, a soft bed, companionship, beautiful views of the setting sun that can be seen from almost anywhere. The people here do not fear the monsters of the land below, they don't go hungry in the winter, or risk death digging through rock for ores. Soaralie floats above the clouds of the overworld, truely the peak of soaralien evolution. You consider staying for a while, it looks like they have a few jobs availible, and its not like you have anywhere else to go...
Meanwhile, the overworld remains a mystery to the average Soaralien. The people of Soaralie do not travel down there unless absolutely neccesary. Airship and Aerostat pilots may ferry people to and from the city, but most remain safe inside. Curious children are scolded for straying too close to the landing platforms and docks for fear of injury or disease from the travellers. But at night when all is dark and calm those who are brave enough sneak their way down to the edges of their city. They gaze out at the dark land below, and hope for a glimpse at the monsters rumored to live there.
Soaralie and Mist goes to the Aether are all based on characters I created as a young child. As the story expands and the lore deepens this site will be updated, thanks for checking it out!
